FAQ

Here are some commonly asked questions and answers

Is there one system that is good for everyone?

No. Each application is different depending on your needs, expectations and budgets. LaSalle Solar has the ability to provide many different brands and types of solar panels to meet all of your needs.

What do I need to look for in a Solar provider?

The first thing you should look for is experience. There are numerous Solar Providers that have tried to "ride the wave" of this growing industry. However, when you have a problem six years from now and you try to contact the Company that installed the system, there is a good chance they will no longer be around. LaSalle Solar has been in the electrical contracting business since 1968.

What about my roof?

LaSalle Solar works with a Licensed and Bonded Roofing Company that seals all penetrations made. In order to secure the racking systems to your structure, roof penetrations must be made. These seals are warranted to the customer.

What is the warranty of solar systems?

Warranties vary by Manufacturer. However, most Solar Panels are warranted for 25 years and the inverters for 10 years. LaSalle Solar Systems warrants all product and labor for 10 years from the date of completion.

How fast will my payback be?

That depends on several factors. The average payback that we have been seeing is 5-7 years. The more money you can save on energy, the faster your payback will be. Highly customized systems using BIPV Solar, will usually take a bit longer on payback due to the higher costs of customized panels.

Do you have to be Licensed to install Solar Systems?

Yes. You must have a C-10 Electrical license to install Solar. LaSalle has been Licensed, Bonded and Insured since 1968. Also, in order to qualify for rebates and incentives, the installation must be completed by a company registered with the California Solar Initiative.

Is financing available?

Yes, we are very efficient in facilitating your financing possibilities.
